The term "mezzomarinaio" has very ancient origins, before assuming its current meaning, in fact, it was used to indicate the cabin boy, that is, the boy who learned the trade of sailor thus performing the most menial tasks on board.Nowadays, however, we use this very useful tool consisting of a long rod (fixed or telescopic) that ends with a hook, to help us in the phases of mooring in the pier to recover - for example - distant or submerged lines.
