MotorGuide R3 is made with a very strong aluminum shaft and a marine-grade stainless steel and aluminum engine block, powder-coated for maximum durability.
Thedrive shaft is made of stainless steel, and the mounting system for the transom is made of powder-coated aluminum-this provides much greater durability and strength than plastic or composite materials.
