Compact and lightweight

The IC-M85E is one of the most compact and lightweight professional-class marine and land VHF transceivers available. Its small size ( 56 × 92 × 36.2 mm ) and light weight ( 281 g with battery, antenna and clip) make it ideal for prolonged use without fatigue.

PMR frequency coverage 136–174 MHz

In addition to marine VHF channels , the IC-M85E supports PMR channels in the 136–174 MHz band . Up to 100 programmable channels are available for land use, each configurable with CTCSS and DTCS tones .

Powerful 700mW audio

Despite its compact size, the IC-M85E delivers powerful 700 mW audio , ensuring clear and intelligible communications even in noisy environments, such as construction sites, ports and operating vessels.

Confidential communications

The radio integrates a Voice Scrambler that allows private communications between stations. It supports 32 scrambler codes and is compatible with the optional UT-112 unit.

Automatic emergency alarm

The IC-M85E integrates three functions dedicated to operator safety: MOB (Man Over Board) , Man Down and Lone Worker . In case of activation, the radio automatically sends an emergency alarm .

Instant operation with multifunction button

The multifunction button on the top panel allows you to assign quick operations such as changing channel groups ( marine ⇔ PMR ) or activating/deactivating the scrambler. Holding down the button also activates the keypad lock .

Rugged construction IP67 and MIL-STD

Designed to withstand the harshest environments, the IC-M85E offers IP67 protection (submersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes) and is fully dustproof. It also complies with the military standard MIL-STD-810 .
