Description
The Torqeedo Solar Charging Cable is designed to allow the batteries of Torqeedo Travel, Travel XP, and Ultralight electric motors to be charged using third-party solar panels. It is designed to integrate a renewable energy source onboard, useful during extended stops or when there is no mains power.
The cable allows connection to solar panels with power up to 200 Wp and a maximum open circuit voltage of 49 V , using a standard MC4 connector. This solution allows charging of compatible batteries directly from the solar panel, helping maintain the autonomy of the electrical system.
It is compatible with Torqeedo 1166-00, 1167-00, and 1423-00 batteries and is suitable for use on tenders and small boats, at anchor or moored. In some cases, a motor software update may be required to enable full functionality.
The cable's length allows for flexible positioning of the solar panel on board. It's important to respect the power and voltage limits to ensure safety and proper operation.
