It is designed for structured installations with a dedicated console or helm station.
The system uses external batteries , allowing the electrical system to be designed based on the range requirements and usage profile of the vessel. Electronic power management allows for progressive and controllable power delivery, useful during port maneuvers, docking, and constant-speed cruising.
The Cruise 12.0 is ideal as a main engine on electrified boats or as an alternative to traditional engines on sailboats and displacement hulls, offering quiet operation, zero vibration, and greater onboard comfort. Remote control improves ergonomics and precision maneuvering.
As with all electrical systems, performance and range depend on the capacity of the installed batteries, the load, and operating conditions . Installation requires careful planning of the on-board electrical system.

Torqeedo Cruise motors are the premium electric choice for powerboats, dinghies, and commercial applications . The Cruise 12.0 takes these qualities to the highest power level available in the range. The Cruise 12.0 is a 48-volt electric outboard, equivalent to 25 horsepower , ideal for:

The battery connection cable is equipped with IP66 protected terminals and is designed for connecting up to two Power 48-5000 batteries . Important note: With just one Power 48-5000 battery , the motor power is limited to 6 kW . For full performance, the use of at least two batteries is strongly recommended.
