Description
The Torqeedo Anode Set for Transom Mount is a protective anode kit designed for Torqeedo Travel and Travel XP electric motors. It protects the metal parts of the transom mount from galvanic corrosion when used in fresh, brackish, or saltwater.
Anodes play a fundamental role in the nautical environment, acting as a disposable element to reduce wear due to galvanic currents . This helps preserve the engine mounting bracket over time, especially with frequent use or prolonged moorings.
The kit is compatible with Travel engines with part numbers 1160-00 to 1165-00 and is intended as a replacement or periodic replacement of the original anodes. Installation follows the instructions in the engine's operating manual, requiring no structural modifications.
