Bardahl's entry into the world of boating stems from its lifelong interest in the world of sports competition.It was in the mid-1950s when Bardahl decided to sponsor a hydroplane powered by a 3,000-horsepower Royce Merlin aero engine.It was Miss Bardahl, the award-winning hydroplane, a one-time National Champion and five-time Gold Cup winner from 1957 to 1969.
