The PENN Fathom is a low profile rotating reel for catching the most potent marine predators in vertical techniques! The body and cheek are all-metal, brass gears and oversized roller bearing-assisted shaft ensure smooth and powerful retrieve. The thread guide is anti-corrosion and TiN treated for maximum thread smoothness. This series of reels excels in vertical techniques such as jigging, tataki,inchiku, slow pitch jigging, as well as trolling. The size 400 model has the line guide synchronized with the clutch. The lever is long and solicits a lot of power even for challenging bottoms.
