Eging rods are good for boat or shore fishing, particularly if the prey are cephalopods such as cuttlefish, squid or octopus. For boat fishing, shorter length eging rods are recommended vice versa if fishing from the beach. Eging fishing rods are available in several versions depending on the power ranging from 1.8 to 4.0 EGI which will be less or more in proportion to the weight of the bait.
