The Mommotti is our extremely tapered jerk minnow (the most popular type of artificial in recent years), which is characterized not only by its long cast, but also by its tightness in the current and the great pleasure of feeling it well in the rod, while not straining the angler's arm too much.

Research has led to the creation of a slight ventral curvature of the artificial, which gives it greater swimming instability and has been found to be particularly attractive to predators. A universal lure aimed primarily at bass, barracuda, greenhouse fish and many other predators, it responds very well to jerkbaits with conspicuous side swerves and also exhibits good swimming action during regular retrieves, both fast and slow. It was born to work in the 50-70cm water range and to be used from shallow locations or at least not too high above sea level. The 140 which is a slow sinking is also recommended for calm waters.
