Product Details
Description
Magnum's high-performance open-field radars increase range and enable radar imaging of small targets in multifunction navigation displays Raymarine. Employing many of the radar technologies used by the U.S. Coast Guard, Magnum enhances target tracking and performance reliability, all encased in a sleek pedestal-mounted open antenna built to withstand the elements.
Key Features
Magnum is available in 4 kW or 12 kW powers, with a 1.31 m or 1.92 m antenna. The maximum range of the 12 kW models is 96 MN, ideal for offshore vessels, while it is 72 MN for the 4 kW models. The ideal companion for the award-winning Raymarine Axiom® and Axiom Pro multifunction navigation displays with LightHouse 3, Magnum is also compatible with earlier models, including:
- multifunction displays with LightHouse 2 a, c, e, eS and gS series
- c series and E series Widescreen multifunction displays
- classic multifunction displays E series, G series.
Note: Not all Magnum functions are available in legacy displays.
Enhanced Bird Mode
Building on the already outstanding Raymarine bird identification technology, we have further enhanced Magnum's Bird Mode to detect birds with greater clarity up to 10 MN. By detecting flocks of birds with Magnum, offshore fishermen can find young baitfish faster and with less fuel consumption.
Enhanced radar images
The Magnum radar also features Raymarine beam-sharpening technology, with 1° better resolution offering more detailed target separation, chart-like coastal detail, and superior long-range performance.
Better target tracking
Magnum offers enhanced situational awareness with fully automatic MARPA target acquisition and tracking. In addition, Magnum makes use of the 9-axis course sensor technology Raymarine Evolution to create, in real time, accurate target charts.
True Trails
Magnum presents True Trails target history. The True Trails feature allows you to see a historical "trail" behind each moving contact. This additional information makes it even easier to interpret the movements of other vessels and make intelligent maneuvering decisions to pass safely.
Real-time course updates
Connect Magnum with Axiom and LightHouse 3 for uninterrupted radar images of targets during course changes. Real-time course updates allow the radar position display to rotate freely, without the need to update the entire display.
