Description
Available in 3 different packages according to your needs: standard to control the pilot directly from the compatible Garmin chartplotter 2 ; optional GHC ™ 20 display to have a dedicated instrument and finally with the addition of the Shadow Drive ™ to keep control of the boat in case the situation requires a quick maneuver or an emergency procedure. It represents an indispensable aid during navigation such as when it is necessary to leave the helm to devote oneself to other activities or to control other devices on board. It integrates seamlessly with the Garmin Marine system installed on board, also implementing the useful Auto Guidance 3.0 3 function for automatic course calculation (requires BlueChart ® g3 cartography). 9-axis solid-state AHRS technology The advanced 9-axis solid-state AHRS technology makes the system easy to install and extremely simple to calibrate, thereby minimizing errors in heading, deviation from courses, rudder movements and power consumption, allowing those on board to navigate more comfortably. Indispensable while sailing This remarkable autopilot adapts to any sea conditions to enable you to stay on course. The Reactor 50 is able to perfectly maintain the set course even in rolling and pitching rough seas. Simplified testing and quick calibration All autopilots require testing and calibration. We understand that what you want is to start sailing, so we have made this process as quick as possible. That's what Power of Simple is all about. Control the autopilot directly from the chartplotter Fully interfaced via NMEA 2000 network, the new Reactor 40 autopilot can be controlled from the display of compatible Garmin Marine chartplotters. You can thus enjoy advanced features such as, for example, the new Auto Guidance 3.0 3 for automatic calculation of the best course and fast, simple and reliable navigation. Garmin Shadow Drive™ Using the unique Garmin Shadow Drive feature, the autopilot can be momentarily disabled when intervening on the helm, leaving the user free to maintain control of the boat should the situation require a quick maneuver or emergency procedure. The autopilot is then automatically reactivated when a stable course is maintained. Connection to networked devices The Compact Reactor 40 autopilot can be activated directly from the chartplotter display Garmin compatible 1 or 3 GHC control units. GHC communicates with the autopilot system via the NMEA 2000® network; allowing easy sharing of autopilot heading data with other devices. This enables MARPA and map overlay when the device is connected to a radar and chartplotter Garmin. An optional handheld wireless remote control is also available. 1 Always rely on an authorized technician with proven experience to install the autopilot system 2 With the following Garmin Marine devices: echoMAP™ CHIRP 52/72/92 series; ECHOMAP Plus 62/72/92 series; GPSMAP® 7400/8000/8400/8600 and 722/922/1022/1222 series 3 Auto Guidance is to be used for planning purposes and is not a substitute for safe navigation operations.
