Description

REMOTE TIMING AND PILOT CONTROL The Raymarine Follow-On Tiller controller brings all the functionality of assisted tacking to remote and secondary control stations, wherever they may be on board. Designed for both pleasure yachts and commercial vessels, the Follow-On Tiller system is a simple control unit to add to Raymarine Evolution autopilot systems. A push of a button activates Evolution's Power Steer mode, which allows skippers to send commands with precise turning angles, up to 35°, to the helm. MAIN FEATURES Intuitive design allows commanders precise tack adjustments with a simple twist of the lever or hand. Brings precision-assisted control to remote locations and auxiliary maneuvering stations Sleek, dial-less, low-profile design allows it to fit virtually anywhere, including pilothouse dashboard chairs Selectable modes, proportional or fast, for turns or maneuvers Simple SeaTalkng connectivity supports up to 4 remote tiller locations Compatible with Evolution™ powerboat autopilot systems. POWER STEER OPTIONS Follow On Tiller controllers are available in 2 different models with slightly different modes of operation. Choose the Standby-Power Steer-Standby model (A80532) for applications where you want to control remotely without activating or deactivating the autopilot. Tapping the activation button on the tiller controller enables the autopilot's Power Steer mode in standby mode and allows full control of rudder movement. Tapping the activation button again switches the autopilot to Standby mode. Select Auto Power Steer-Auto model (A80602) to make course adjustments under autopilot control. Tapping the activation key changes the autopilot state from Auto (activated) mode to Power Steer mode, giving the captain manual control of rudder movement. Tapping the activation key again returns the autopilot to Auto mode. TWO MODES OF OPERATION The controller supports both proportional (follow-up) and fast (non-follow-up) modes for maximum flexibility. The controller is pre-equipped with a return spring to automatically return it to the 0° center position when released. The return spring can be removed if necessary. In Follow-Up mode, the rudder follows the rudder precisely. When the rudder is released or set to 0° the rudder is selected on amidships. In Non-Follow-Up mode, the rudder remains at the set angle when the control unit is released or set to 0° and requires the operator to manually correct it to amidships.
