The new bilge pumps operate using an internal level sensor that causes them to activate when the water reaches 2 inches high and shuts them off when the water is removed (Auto Sense Intelligence). If the level sensor becomes fouled with debris or contaminated water, the unique backup function prevents continuous pump operation, protecting the battery while maintaining automatic operation.
